Learning Supports Symposium Breakout Spotlight

Introducing one of this year's Learning Supports Symposium breakout speakers, Mark Busch, Director of Education for Iowa Safe Schools.
Compared to their heterosexual peers, LGBTQ youth are susceptible to higher rates of depression, drug abuse, violent crimes, and death by suicide. In this session, participants will learn about the barriers affecting LGBTQ youth, and an expert in the field will provide resources to help educators and community members advocate for these students.
