Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Planning for Practitioners Course

#160659 GH - Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Planning for Practitioners

Participants will learn to operationally define target behaviors and conduct a technically sound functional behavior assessment designed to answer specific questions. Indirect and direct methods of assessing function will be taught and applied. Participants will learn how to analyze and then synthesize assessment data in order to write a descriptive summary leading to a hypothesis about the function of the targeted behavior(s).  Participants will learn how to link these results to appropriate, function-based interventions. Data collection resources will be modeled and practiced in class and within the natural environment.  Coaching opportunities will be provided by members of the Challenging Behavior Team.
